BS in Computer Science, Engineering or 3 to 5 years of experience in a related field
Knowledge of DevOps software build cycles
Experience with DevOps deploying code
Experience supporting and working with high functioning technical teams
Collaboration across project life cycles
Skilled in interpersonal communication
Knowledge of MS Office Word, Excel PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook
Demonstrated ability to meet established timelines
Ability to function independently and in a team environment
Ability to present technical ideas and technical information concisely, both verbally and in writing or through presentations as needed
Experience writing technical documents
Unix experience would be beneficial
Release Manager will be responsible for creating and managing releases in multiple environments and performing release audits. They have the responsibility to develop, maintain, and communicate release process standards, plans, and procedures. The Business Analyst - Release ensures changes to the processes and methods are properly approved, communicated and managed throughout the Release Management process. They also have the responsibility to identify points of improvement or issues and implement solutions.
Release Manager has primary responsibility for coordinating release requirements and deadlines with all Project Mangers, Technical Functional Area Leads (TFALS), Developers, Business Analysts, and Business Operations staff. They monitor to ensure that all required artifacts and documentation is completed in the appropriate tool(s) such as Project Workbook, iTrace, ALM, etc.
Create scheduled releases for multiple environments and document release calendar of those releases.
Manage the Release Calendar.
Support/Lead a Change Control Board to audit, review and approve system changes.
Support the Deployment Leads with the creation of release implementation plans.
Support the Change Control Manager in advising operations, DDI, and Product teams as necessary to facilitate the promotion of code, including risks, impact, and timelines.
Advise Operations and DDI Teams on Operational Change Control Policy for CO Promotion.
Attend Weekly Systems Cycle Meetings and provide status on PROD change orders.
Facilitate Product Deployment Planning Meetings for Product Patches and Full Releases.
Provide Deployment Status Updates to Operations Leadership, DDI Leadership, and Product.
Distribute Notice of COs scheduled for release, special instructions, and successful promotion.
Coordinate infrastructure requests to Client internal teams on behalf of the DDI Team, Operations, and Product Teams.
Monitor email for immediate and off-cycle release requests.
Create and manage the artifacts for Product Release tracking.
