The Distributed Container Messaging (DCM) team is looking for a hands-on subject matter expert to provide support for development and operation activities across the enterprise. In this role, you will provide high-level technical support and sustaining engineering services to maximize uptime and reduce IT costs. You’ll work with customers, developers, architects and operations teams to troubleshoot and solve complex technical issues in a timely manner. Other day-to-day work includes, but not limited to; triage of issues with the application teams and vendors, SME on Messaging (AMQ/Kafka & IBM MQ) products on both internal cloud OpenShift and AWS, deploying messaging products via CI/DI Pipeline, capacity management, creation of automation, and product patching/upgrades.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter and motivated to document processes and actions. Able to learn and adapt quickly, work in a fast-paced, team-driven environment and has great communication skills with both technical and non-technical business partners.
