Evoqua Water Technologies is seeking an experienced Digital Operations Engineer in Sarasota, FL!
The Digital Operations Engineer position provides Level 2 – 3 support of the daily operation of devices on Evoqua’s web-based online IoT portal. This role is responsible for diagnosing and maintaining site parameters to include device configurations, input/output files, updating device locally and via remote connections. Extensive knowledge of device’s functionality specific to electrical hardware, design and device communication protocols. An intermediate understanding of chemical and odor treatment is required to be successful in the long-term for this position. Internal applicants with field service engineering experience within field devices is favorable. In lieu of chemical systems and device operations experience, applicants with a background in electrical design, business support via IoT remote troubleshooting, or communications protocols and operations would be strongly considered for this position.
Digital Operations Engineers are responsible for providing intermediate to advanced levels of troubleshooting system data issues and device communication errors. Proficiency in data analysis and experience with enterprise resource systems are a plus. Maintaining site uptime and optimizing performance to allow Evoqua to meet or exceed customer deliverables is a major focus for this position. When necessary the Operations Engineer will address service tickets via workflows (and other enterprise tools) and coordinate real-world support with the local service branches. The Operations Engineer will develop and lead internal process improvement initiatives designed to benefit Municipal Services Command Center service offerings. These initiatives may be tied to new product launches or improving existing processes. When applicable the Operations Engineer will coach, train, and set a positive example for Field Service Professionals.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
*Perform remote troubleshooting and site analysis using Evoqua’s IoT portal

*Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Evoqua’s operational data. This requires a thorough understanding of our IoT portal and how our products are configured in that system. Applicants will need to be able to conceptually tie systems of record to real-world business events.
*Utilize dashboards and reports to diagnose operational issues and perform remediation.
*Learn the flow of our business from alarm/alerts to field service assistance.
*Initiate process improvement initiatives and manage small projects on top of daily operations as needed.

*BS/BA in Information Systems, Business, Engineering or related discipline technical discipline. *Specialized skill training/certification may be required. Military experience may be considered in lieu of secondary education or years of professional work experience.
*3-5 years of similar experience required
*Technical competency in one or more of the following programs: SAP user (running reports and transaction codes, basic use), Microsoft Power BI. Microsoft Suite of applications.
*Excellent English communication skills, and customer service skills required.
