JOB OVERVIEW: 

As the Manager or Director of IT you will be the primary IT person for the company, managing a 70 person company with 2 locations (So Cal and Texas) and the CEO is looking for somebody with programming skills as well.

An Architect who can design and assist in designing applications taking a deep dive into the architecture and working with the internal DBA’s .

There is no staff to manage as desktop and software support is outsourced.

The Manager or Director of IT will be responsible for the overall planning, organizing, and execution of all IT functions in a Cloud-based, SaaS environment. The right person will provide support and maintenance of existing applications and development as well as new technical solutions

Recent hands-on experience is a huge plus, but you will also have support of outside Managed Services.

The technology is evolving as the company is growing.

APPLICATIONS EXPERIENCE NEEDED: The main focus is building an app that will greatly reduce all the manual work that is being done to true up the accounts each month. There is a fair amount of work and creativity that is needed to design a cohesive (preferably mobile ) app to automatically record and remap all data from each customer.

COMPANY OVERVIEW: Company provides an enormous amount of data back to each customer every month that tells them exactly what they are paying for and how much they are saving.

We need an IT person who is

  • independent and knows how to make decisions building applications, mapping processes, directing vendors and internal employees
  • somebody who is technically savvy and knows how to evaluate and research future technologies and work with management and vendors to implement
  • somebody capable of managing and working with MSP’s, vendors, budgets and projects
  • an architect who can design and assist in designing applications taking a deep dive into the architecture and working with the internal DBA’s
  • strong with experience in managing ERP, infrastructure, VoIP, Cloud, MSP’s
  • somebody who can create workflow designs & mapping, automation, business and software rules, work with programmers, etc.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or related experience
  • IT Management: 2-5 years
  • Experience mapping a process and directing automation to be built and integrate it all across platforms.
  • Experience building applications
  • Recent experience working in an Agile SDLC environment
  • Recent experience working in a Cloud-based, SaaS environment
  • Recent experience with VOIP and Contact Centers
  • Experience planning, designing and implementing an ERP solution for a mid-sized company

OVERVIEW: 

As the Director of IT you will be responsible for the overall planning, organizing, and execution of all IT functions in a Cloud-based, SaaS environment. The Director of IT will provide support and maintenance of existing applications and development as well as new technical solutions

Principal Responsibilities

  • Analyzes complex business needs presented by President and recommends technical solutions
  • Ensures the consistency and maintainability of existing applications by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing technical solutions
  • Produces detailed timeline for each application release and implements effective project control by monitoring the progress of the software release and reporting the status
  • Participates on all hardware and software evaluations
  • Represents the IT function at customer review meeting when appropriate
  • Perform liaison duties between users, operations, and personnel in the areas of systems design, modifications or troubleshooting
  • Actively participates in the design of our business platform to include new features, bug fixes, and improvements.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Experience managing an MS Azure cloud-based infrastructure for back office
  • Salesforce, or similar CRM, admin and basic development experience
  • Experience planning, designing and implementing an ERP solution for a mid-sized company
  • Experience with cloud-based authentication strategies for SSO
  • Experience designing, implementing and administering a VOIP solution for telephony and Contact Center functions.
  • Automation of tasks using PowerShell or Python in a MS Windows environment.
  • Proven ability to lead a progressive IT department
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Solid writing skills
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and motivate professional staff
  • Vendor Management experience in a largely cloud-based and SaaS environment.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies
  • Broad knowledge of data processing systems, concepts, and methodologies
  • Understanding of general business practices to help shape technology decision
