Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Set the strategy for the IT systems & infrastructure of the platform and subsidiary companies to achieve ambitious development and growth targets
  • Collaborate closely with the CSO, CMO, CFO and other senior leaders to enable their departments to innovate and efficiently deliver their goals
  • Define business system roadmaps, including data management & security, to meet strategic and operational needs of each company
  • Ensure that security is embedded in all IT operations through appropriate application of information security tools, policies, practices, and oversight
  • Manage the delivery of IT assets for all employees, who all work remotely, tracking and checking the quality of the assets ordered
  • Manage the IT Infrastructure globally across the US and Europe
  • Foster a business oriented, technology led culture and mindset driven by continual service improvements.
  • Manage and own all crucial IT systems infrastructure across all departments
  • Establish and maintain company wide security policies and procedures
  • Manage an IT service & security provider to ensure timely and scalable provision of all required services, including employee support
  • Ensure appropriate data backup and disaster recovery plans are in place and have been tested for recoverability
  • Assess and facilitate the implementation of GDPR standards and ensure ongoing compliance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or a related field
  • 10+ years of IT systems management experience in both privately held and publicly owned companies
  • 5+ years of experience in the biotech / pharma / life sciences industry
  • Experience with SOC 1 and SOX compliance
  • Experience in working with a unified enterprise management approach of multiple OSs (windows, mac OS, linux) and device classes (desktops / phones / tablets)
  • Strong track record in contributing to cross-functional teams in advancing projects 
  • Highly empathetic with an outstanding ability to work multi-culturally 

Bonus Points

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field
  • Experience managing and providing services to a network of subsidiaries.
