CGI Federal is seeking a Project Manager, that will be responsible for the day-to-day tactical duties for the project. The PM will be accountable to oversee results of multi-functional project teams and be responsible for the administrative/operational leadership of a project within the program guidelines set by the Program Manager and customer. Candidates will work with project teams to support all aspects of project planning and execution activities with particular emphasis on defining and providing management reporting for schedule, effort and quality metrics. Project Managers will also monitor project to ensure work scope, schedule, and budget are well defined and maintained. This position may be client facing. Will provide the coordination between resource managers/supervisors and ensures all necessary reviews and approvals are received while potentially conducting performance/project analyses during phase-down to benefit future/other projects/missions/programs. Report to the client and has frequent communications with the business owners. The PM is engaged in the Steering Committee meetings and assists with meeting material preparation.
Provide full range of project management, such as but not limited to: status reporting,
gap analysis, risk analysis and mitigation, scheduling, change control, quality assurance,
meeting facilitation, team dynamics, conflict resolution and stakeholder communications.
* Act as an advisor to EDD on project related matters.
* Collaborate with EDD and its designees to achieve desired results.
* Ability to lead small to complex project efforts.
* Strong analytical and completed staff-work skills.
* Ability to understand and learn technology.
* Demonstrates strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills including
telephone and presentation skills.
* Advanced computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Project.
* Strong information technology knowledge, especially with .NET applications, mainframe,
SDLC and business process improvement.
* Ability to work a flexible schedule when needed which may include weekends. Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a US Secret Security Clearance.
A minimum of seven (7) years of experience providing diverse technical and management services to government agencies.
A minimum of seven (7) of broad and extensive project management (PM) experience successfully managing information technology (IT) programs and projects.
A minimum of seven (7) team building, knowledge transfer, and/or mentoring experience. A
A minimum of seven (7) of experience leading and facilitating team meetings.
A minimum of five (5) years of experience in transition support including providing leadership in the transition of work from the Contractor to client staff and assisting with the transition of the existing PM infrastructure to the maintenance and operations (M&O) infrastructure.
A minimum of three (3) years' experience in the following:
* Schedule management and Microsoft (MS) Project
* Risk management
* Business process review and gap analysis
* Consulting experience for a project worth at least $200M
