Silvus Technologies is seeking a skilled electronics technician to support StreamCaster MANET product development and manufacturing. Primary: Basic manufacturing failure troubleshooting, repair and root cause analysis
Primary: Initial diagnosis testing and basic repair of customer-returned units (RMA)
Secondary: Engineering/R&D electromechanical support – building custom cables, electronics assemblies, test fixtures
Secondary: Production test station support – equipment maintenance, repair and upgrade
Minimum of 3 years hand soldering fine pitch lead components and SMT 0402 components
Experience with sensitive electronics components and low voltage PCB assemblies
Experience using hand Irons and hot air rework stations is required, IPC Certification is a plus
Experience using multi-meter is required, the ability to read and interpret engineering schematics for signal tracing/troubleshooting is desirable
General mechanical skills required – dis/reassemble mechanical sub-assemblies to spec
General PC skills in a Windows environment required, Linux skills are desirable
Associates Degree in an electronics field or 3 years experience in an electronics rework environment is a plus
Experience with RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers and signal generators) is a plus
Experience working in a small, fast paced R&D environment is a plus
