Summary: The Electronics Technician Communications Equipment FSR will provide communications-electronics equipment (CE) technical and maintenance support for systems and subsystems for fixed and mobile communications platforms for the Department of Defense (DOD) US Special Operations Forces (SOF). This is an OCONUS position to locations designated as Hazardous Duty by the U.S. Department of State.

Provide communications-electronics equipment (CE) technical and maintenance support for systems and subsystems for fixed and mobile communications platforms for the Department of Defense (DOD) US Special Operations Forces (SOF).
Travel to Hazardous Duty areas and meet/maintain training and "Fit for Duty" requirements (specified health and physical requirements) as specified by the contract(s) and applicable U.S. Government directives (i.e.) CENTCOM Mod 12).
- Recommend process improvements or procedure modifications
- Determine types of tests to be performed
- Initiate and prepare written equipment status reports
- Communicate effectively with other technical personnel
- Adhere to Safety and Security processes and procedures
Non-Essential Duties: Other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervisor responsibility when required. May be required to independently lead teams and ad-hoc work groups.
Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 4+ years of relevant work experience; experience to include,
US military electronics training/experience,
C-E test equipment experience,
SOF Tactical or Shipboard radio (SATCOM, LOS and HF) operations/maintenance experience,
Experience with US Special Operations Forces
COMSEC equipment operations/maintenance experience,
Military Electronics Course Instructor (NEC 9502)
Must be able to meet and maintain the certifications/qualifications for deployment travel to Hazardous Duty locations.
Valid U.S. tourist passport.
Active SECRET security clearance.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to travel up to 90-100% of the time.
Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS locations.
Ability to meet and maintain the certifications/qualifications for deployment travel to Hazardous Duty locations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
Military Leadership Training.
Familiar with the following tactical radios: PRC-148, 152, 117F, and 117G

During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
