Job Description

Embedded ARM SOC Board Bring up, Firmware Engineer


The ideal individual will possess prior with electronics hardware – especially memory, CPU interface integration IP within the SOC. The candidate needs to have solid experience with PCB hardware as well – specifically bring-up and troubleshooting. The candidate will be expected to interact extensively in a tight team environment with employees in other disciplines and geographies.



  • Design and implement software of embedded devices and systems from requirements to production and commercial deployment
  • Analyzing and enhancing efficiency, stability and scalability of system resources
  • Design, develop, code, test and debug system software and review code
  • Integrate and validate new product designs
  • Provide post silicon bring-up support
  • Interface with IP designer, integrators, and development



  • 5+ years’ experience in developing embedded software written in C, some assembly on ARM
  • Recent experience working on board bring up
  • Excellent Firmware development
  • Must have ARM architecture experience
  • Proficient in using source level and low level debuggers
  • Proficient in using gcc, gdb, llvm, lldb, visual studio debugger
  • Familiar with real time OS techniques, preemptive multi-tasking schedulers, and interrupt handlers
  • Proficient in writing code for CPU and memory constrained environments
  • Experience with memory RAS (Reliability, Availability and Serviceability) features, including error detection and correction
  • Experience with embedded security feature, such as secure boot and key authentication.
  • Strong documentation and writing skills
  • BS or higher degrees preferred (Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering with Software experience)

  • Hardware experience with PCIe and I3C
  • Experience with PCB and full system debug
  • Strong documentation and writing skills
