Description: Space Protection Programs NEXT department is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic software engineer to help develop low-TRL R&D systems and push them to the next level. Our agile team, operating under the Skunk Works paradigm, is composed of team members that are able to work across several engineering disciplines to generate proof-of-concept demo programs, forming the next generation of space protection products. Our team deals with cradle to grave development, creating custom hardware in-house. Work is varied, and products may span from innovative bus development to payload subsystems.
The candidate should be an experienced embedded software engineer with a signal processing development. Candidate will be responsible for the design and implementation of communications, radar, and payload software and should be well-versed at real-time, multi-threaded software development. Experience in C, C++, LINUX, system software and scripting development, bare-wire, embedded software development, digital signal processing, wireless communications systems, radar systems, and/or software defined radios is highly desired.
- Knowledge of embedded software development
- Experience in C programming
- Experience developing digital signal processing (DSP) designs
- Experience in software defined radio (SDR) environments
- Experience with bare-metal applications
- Experience defining software architectures
- Experience working in lab to integrate hardware
- Experience with lab equipment
