Job Description

A3 Technology, Inc. is seeking an Electrical/Electronics Engineer with seven or more years experience in supporting the Air Surveillance Radar 9 (ASR-9) Service Life Extension Program (SLEP).
Essential Job Functions:

  • Troubleshoot, analyze and determine operational issues and recommend solutions.
  • Design, develop, and test modern solutions to incorporate into existing systems and equipment.
  • Generate installation and test procedures for system modification and verification.
  • Perform all aspects of system verification, including all phases of the testing process.
  • Develop and execute test plan and procedures in an operational environment.
  • Direct and coordinate with outside vendors to manufacture prototypes and production units including development of Manufacturing Specifications.
  • Research new technologies that would be integrated in the ASR-9.
  • Provide 2nd level engineering support to ASR-9 modifications installed in the field including onsite or over the phone.
  • Provide 2nd level maintenance and engineering for data management as well as for operational subsystems of the ASR-9.

Other Job Functions:

  • Provide authoritative leadership and technical advice to other members of the team.
  • Participate and lead technical interchange meetings.
  • Conduct or participate in formal and informal reviews at predetermined points throughout the development life cycle.
  • Provide technical guidance and participation in Process Improvement.
  • Communicate project status to ASR-9 Program Office including cost, schedule, and deliverables.
  • Provide technical input and support for AMS contract awards.
  • This position might be required to travel throughout the country to different Radar Sites to support local technicians in maintaining and modifying equipment. In this position, travel is not a priority however availability with short notice to do so, is required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of test equipment including oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, logic analyzer.
  • Proficient in analysis of existing Requirements, Testing and Compliance Procedures/Documents.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Education:

  • Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering with 7- 15 years of related work experience in the specific engineering principle OR
  • Master's degree in Engineering with 5-12 years related work experience in the specific engineering principle.
