Job Description


We are looking for a dynamic Engineer Manager having experience in advanced Java and distributed platform that require little to no supervision, driven, enthusiastic, detail oriented, learns quickly, can adapt and can work in a very fast paced group.Primary Responsibilities: Management, Requirements Elicitation & Understanding: Understand various disparate views of the system Manage team drive effective processes, design and coding standards for software development Leverage various teams and resources as necessary to maximize efficiency Track the productivity of the team closely and implement continuous productivity/quality improvements Analyze system requirements and map to specific components/libraries Define, understand and be able to analyze the non-functional requirements of the projectArchitecture & Design: Be able to envision the overall solution for defined functional and non-functional requirements; and be able to define technologies, patterns and frameworks to materialize it Design and develop the framework of the system and be able to explain choices madeWrite and review design document explaining overall architecture, framework and high level design of the application Create, understand and validate Design and estimated effort for given module/task, and be able to justify it Be able to define in-scope, out-of-scope and taken assumptions while creating effort estimates Be able to identify and integrate well over all integration points in context of a project as well as other applications in the environmentCoding: Define guidelines and benchmarks for considerations during project implementation Do required POCs to make sure that suggested design/technologies meet the requirements Review: Review architecture and design on various aspects like extensibility, scalability, security, design patterns, user experience, etc., against a predefined checklist and ensure that all relevant best practices are followed Be able to give solution to any issue that is raised during code/design review and be able to justify the decision takenTroubleshooting: Possess/acquire strong troubleshooting skills and be interested in performing troubleshooting of issues in different desperate technologies and environments Be able to understand and relate technology integration scenarios and be able to apply these learnings in complex troubleshooting scenarios Be able to help teams in complex and unusual bugs and troubleshooting scenariosOperational Support:Be responsible for delivery for the integrated functional team including vendor resources or OT resources Hire, groom and retain top notch talent for the team Own, allocate and track to closure all tasks by priority for the application Provide technical leadership to the team, mentor and guide them whenever required Adhere to the defined SSMO delivery process/guidelines like Problem Management, Incident Management, Change Management, SLA Compliance, productivity and other application goals Forecast and Manage to it with the capacity available Ensure availability over weekends/holidays as may be needed due to project requirements Facilitate harmonious working relationships with business partners and within team Ensure the key metrics are in GREEN, motivate the team to identify the opportunities and drive them to improve the metrics. Lead/drive "War rooms" and be a delegate service level owner Drive DevOps adoption for the application Drive continuous improvements within the application Drive the team to develop innovative approaches on performance optimization & automation & modernization Provide timely communication/reporting to onshore/offshore leadership Drive process adoption and compliance Drive Operational Efficiency Build relationships with business partners to stay aligned with needs of the end customer

Required Qualifications:Minimum 10-12 years of experience in design, development and implementation of enterprise applications using J2EEProduction support experienceHands on experience with advanced Java (JSP, Servlets, Spring MVC, Struts) Experience in Devops Experience of leading team Knowledge on design patterns, coding standards and performance improvementsStrong troubleshooting skills both in systems as well as developmentStrong organizational skills and excellent relationship building skillsGood communication and interpersonal skillsPreferred Qualifications:AngularJS, IBM IIB, Blaze Rules, Experience in Enterprise Java Beans, Web services, MQ-Series, JMS Healthcare Industry experience Technology Careers with Optum.
