Job Description

Top Engineering Firm currently looking for an entry-level IT Technician who will be responsible for communicating via phone, email and in person with end users and assisting them with the day-to day technical issues they may encounter. We are looking for candidates who have a passion for IT Technical Support.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to end users in a professional manner over the phone, remotely, or in person for a network environment with 200+ users.
  • Resolve technical issues following standard practice, company-approved protocols.
  • Assist and collaborate on IT projects and deployments.
  • Travel to field offices occasionally for projects and specific support.
  • Willingness to work nights and weekends to support off-hours migration events of mission-critical systems.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in Information Technology or the equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in supporting end users in a professional business environment.
  • Knowledge of Windows 7, 8, 10, Microsoft Office Suites required.
  • Strong Microsoft Outlook skills required.
  • A+ and N+ certified
  • Experience with antivirus and malware solutions.
  • Basic understanding of TCIP/IP, DHCP and DNS and FTP
  • Basic understanding of Windows Active Directory.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are an absolute must.
