Job Description


Reporting: Direct to Manager of Credit

Summary: The scope of this position encompasses providing credit review to all transactions not requiring financial statements, known as “Application Only”.  The Credit Analyst serves as a resource for the Junior Credit Analyst position.  This position serves customers by ensuring the process of providing timely and appropriate responses to customer applications.

Job Responsibilities:          

  • Input and review credit applications and supporting documents submitted by the sales team and approved dealers
  • Analyze applicant credit history and profile
  • Present credit approvals and declines to sales team within signing authority of $125K
  • Review and follow-up for credit stipulations to ensure compliance
  • Serve as resource for Junior Credit Analyst position
  • Ability to work in a high volume fast paced environment
  • Work directly with customers and potential customers using excellent spoken and written English
  • General administrative duties such as photocopies and scanning
  • Interfaces with other departments, and business partners
  • All other duties as assigned


  • 2+ years of experience in credit or credit administration (3+ years is preferred)
  • Must have experience reviewing and analyzing both personal and commercial credit reports (such as Experian/Equifax/TransUnion reports, PayNet, LexisNexis, D&B)
  • Must have a fundamental knowledge of due diligence procedures and reporting (reviewing Secretary of State/FBN Filings, Department of Transportation reports, etc.)
  • Transportation lending experience (Class 8 Trucks/Trailers) is highly preferred
  • High school diploma or GED; college degree with financial concentration is a plus
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
  • Must be detail oriented with ability to multi-task and maintain a strong focus on quality, accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer service-oriented environment and balance multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as attention to detail
