Job Description


Solidus is searching for a FPGA Algorithm Developer to support the development of RF and microwave systems. Work will include, but not be limited to, design and implementation of custom FPGA algorithms for simulation and hardware implementation based around the Xilinx RFSoC/MPSoC, Virtex-7 and UltraScale+ FPGA families, along with some implementations on smaller FPGAs and CPLDs. Use of Xilinx Vivado and High Level Synthesis (HLS) tools will be necessary to carry out designs


The successful candidate will join a team that develops, builds, and integrates RF systems for many applications including Radar, signal assessment, and electronic attack. Much of the associated work for building these systems includes a need for specialized high speed digital design and FPGA programming expertise.


Responsibilities:

-Development of HDL code to configure FW to run embedded FPGAs and SoCs from Xilinx.

-Contribution to the design of control system FW and HW architecture.

-Bring up, configuration, characterization, and debugging of new hardware.

-Writing and implementing algorithms and DSP routines developed by controls and product experts.

-Debugging and optimizing FPGA and FPGA SoC based HW and FW.

-Working in a lab environment using digital embedded system debug tools (ICE, logic analyzers, JTAG, Oscilloscopes, etc).

Requirements:

-US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance

-MS plus 3 years minimum experience, or BS plus 5 years minimum experience

-Minimum 5 years of HW development experience.

-3+ years of experience FPGA logic design with VHDL / Verilog or SV, synthesis and layout.

-Experience with MatLab

-Experience with HLS (High Level Synthesis) with specific application to Xilinx RFSoC

Preferred Skills:

-FPGA hardware design (Xilinx)

-VHDL / Verilog firmware development

-FPGA embedded systems development (Xilinx, ARM, Microblaze)

-PCIe design and verification

-Must be experienced bringing up and debugging FPGA based HW and FW.

-Matlab / C / C++ / Xilinx HLS.
