Job Description

SIG currently has a job opportunity available on our Facilities/Building Operations team in our Philadelphia area headquarters. This team provides maintenance support across our 330,000 square foot office space in Bala Cynwyd, PA.


By joining our team, you will support ongoing initiatives to maintain and improve our infrastructure and office space. You will also have the opportunity to build a strong rapport with employees across our organization to better understand and support both team and infrastructure needs.


The hours for this role are Monday - Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.


In this role, you will:

  • Perform light repairs to building HVAC, electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems, including preventative maintenance (changing filters and cleaning)
  • Change light bulbs, door locks, and ceiling tiles throughout the building when necessary
  • Interact with employees across the organization on a professional level and diagnose issues/problems; complete work orders in a timely manner
  • Build, move, and repair office furniture as needed
  • Paint surfaces throughout the building, including scraping, spackling, sanding, filling cracks and holes, etc.
  • Support carpentry related projects, including drywall installations and repairs, taping, spackling and painting, throughout the office building
  • Manage inventory of maintenance materials and supplies; ensure shop area remains clean at all times
  • Coordinate and manage vendor relationships; accompany vendors to work site to complete jobs and monitor progress to completion

What we're looking for

  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a residential building, facilities, maintenance, or related role
  • High school diploma, or equivalent, required
  • Experience with carpentry required 
  • Willingness to support occasional weekend work as needed
  • Ability to bend, lift, twist, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and to climb ladders throughout the work day
  • Experience using basic hand tools preferred; ability to provide own tools not required
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, a plus
