Location: The

primary work site is Arlington, VA / Richmond, VA with occasional travel to

Tennessee and Texas for security control reviews and team meetings

Job Description:

Provides support to the Information System Security

Officer (ISSO) for maintaining the appropriate operational security posture for

the systems and applications hosted within the federal operating

environment. Develop and maintains

documentation for certification and accreditation in accordance with NIST, DoD

and FedRAMP policies. Conducts and

reviews system vulnerability scans. Reviews and approves system access requests. Conduct data forensic reviews in response to

security incidents. Reviews business

continuity testing. Reviews network

security configurations. Develops and

presents security awareness training. Develops and reviews security control implementation statements. Monitors the configuration management of

system software and hardware. Assesses

security controls as part of the quarterly and annual FISMA reporting. Proposes, coordinates, implements, and

enforces information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.

Duties and

Responsibilities include but not limited to the following areas:

  1. Monitoring the

    security controls implemented within federal information systems to address the

    following areas: access control;

    incident response; system communications; system integrity; contingency

    planning; identification and authentication; maintenance; physical and

    environmental; media protection; awareness and training; system acquisition;

    audit and accountability; configuration management; certification and

    accreditation; planning; personnel security; risk assessment and program management.

  2. Developing, reviewing,

    and endorsing required system certification artifacts, including the System

    Security Plan (SSP), Risk Assessment, FIPS-199, Privacy Impact Assessment

    (PIA), Contingency Plan, Network Architecture Diagram, Incident Response Plan,

    Configuration Management Plan, e-Authentication Worksheet, Rules of Behavior

    and Computer User Agreement.

  3. Providing oversight to

    ensure that system users are following established information security

    policies and procedures.

  4. Implementing actions as

    required by the Information System Security Officer (ISSO).

  5. Ensuring approved

    procedures are in place for clearing, purging, declassifying, and releasing

    system data (on various means of media, output and memory).

  6. Maintaining, as

    required by the ISSO, a repository for all system certification documentation

    and modifications.

  7. Coordinating

    information system security inspections, tests, and reviews. Developing the plan to remediate

    findings. Providing updates to

    leadership on timelines. Conducts

    follow-up tests to verify the vulnerabilities have been removed or mitigated.

  8. Implement procedures

    for responding to security incidents, and for investigating and reporting (to

    the DAA, client, and internal management) security violations and incidents, as

Cyber Security


Security vigilantly protects Deloitte and client data. The team leads a

strategic cyber risk program that adapts to a rapidly changing threat landscape,

changes in business strategies, risks, and vulnerabilities. Using situational

awareness, threat intelligence, and building a security culture across the

organization, the team helps to protect the Deloitte brand.

  1. Must be US citizen

  2. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience (four years) in information systems security field; implementing and monitoring security controls for multiple customers, preferably in a Federal environment

  3. At least 2 years of experience in a network/software/hardware support and/or systems administrator role to include experience regarding system security vulnerability analysis

  4. At least 2 years of more experience with information security certification and accreditation

  5. At least 2 years of experience working in teams and in a team environment, that is process-oriented and deadline-driven.

Position Desired Skills

  1. Comptia Security +, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification

  2. At least two years of technical knowledge of security system functions, security policies, technical security safeguards, and operational security measures to include Federal government security requirements, standards, and guidelines as published by National Institute of Standards and Technologies (NIST)

  3. At least two years of experience in Federal Information Systems certification and accreditation requirements, processes and procedures

Security Clearance

Applicants should be eligible to possess a government security clearance
