Who You Are
Highly mechanically inclined, knowledgeable in electronics, and organized with the ability to communicate well across the business unit and customer base. You are a motivated team player that can juggle priorities with ease and professionalism.

You also have:
  • An Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • The ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Experience writing routine reports and correspondence.
  • The ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus but not required.
  • A clean driving record, with the ability to successfully pass a DMV check.

What You'll Do
As a Field Services Technician - Nelson Stud Welding you'll be part of our Engineered Fastening team in Walnut, CA.
Specifically, you'll:
  • Receive company-specific training on stud welding equipment and tools.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, modify, and repair of customer equipment, and the regional rental fleet; including stud welding systems, power sources, and field diesels.
  • Assists customers in person and via the telephone, with equipment, accessory, and technical problems.
  • Assists Sales Representatives in person and via the telephone with equipment, accessory and technical problems.
  • Performs in-house demonstrations for customers.
  • Welds samples for Sales Representatives and customers.
  • Performs as a boiler outage service technician as required.
  • Assists with cycle counts and other common inventory management needs.
  • Performs shipping, receiving, and delivery responsibilities when required.
  • Occasionally performs general building maintenance.
