The Research Computing Center (RCC) is seeking a highly motivated Front-End Web Developer to primarily support the unit website and collaborate with faculty and researchers to develop or enhance RCC supported web-based applications that support their research projects. Develops web-based applications to allow website elements to interact with RCC’s backend systems and services. The Front-End Web Developer should have a strong background in web-design and be experienced with content management systems. The Front-End Web Developer manages and carries out the development and deployment of custom web-applications to the RCC website. Requires some development effort for web-facing content using a variety of software applications, techniques, and tools. Design, implement and maintain effective, dynamic and well thought out interactive elements of the RCC website. Ensures timely updates and on-going maintenance of websites and online services. Ensures quality control through code review, testing, and debugging software for accuracy, completeness, and system integrity. Documents development decisions and processes thoroughly. Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field required.
