Job Description Summary
Full Stack Developer will work in the IT department of NIH DEA NCI performing both front- and back-end operations on our current websites and computer systems.
Project Specific Job Duties:
•Design front-end website architecture and work closely with the Graphic Designers and other development staff to ensure website applications collaborate well with their design elements.
•Oversee entire project from start to finish
•Evaluate the needs of users and analyze any technical issues to program highly functional systems.
•Responsible for staying updated on developments in web applications and constantly train themselves to learn new coding languages
•Design and planning
•Communication with stakeholders
•Team monitor and teaching
Education and Experience:
•Bachelor's degree; additional experience would be considered in lieu of degree
•5 - 8 years of overall experience 3-5 years of Java experience
•3-5 years of Oracle PL/SQL Database experience
•3-5 years of Java-Script experience
•5-8 years of Front End frameworks experience (Angular, Bootstrap, or React)
•3-5 years Web service development experience (RESTful) experience
•3-5 years Apache HTTP server experience 3-5 years Configuration Management experience (GitHub, SVN, or SourceSafe)
•3-5 years Maven Build experience
Willing to relocate or local to Bethesda Able to pass a public trust clearance
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, code, test, and debug new software or enhancements to existing software of complex software applications.
- Perform maintenance on existing software products and contribute knowledge of business applications.
- Contribute as necessary to the development of all project artifacts throughout the system development life cycle.
- Write SQL queries and analyze existing queries for performance tuning.
- Perform post-deployment verification.
- Review the existing documentation.
- Document technical specifications.
- Requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years with a Master's degree.
- Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
- Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.
