NIC’s Gov2Go product brings together all citizen interactions with all levels of government on one platform. It learns about a person’s civic responsibilities, tracks those interactions, notifies them about an upcoming renewal or payment, and allows them to complete transactions for those responsibilities. Through Gov2Go’s omnichannel capabilities, citizens can leverage a variety of devices to manage and complete their government related interactions.

The Gov2Go team is seeking an innovative and motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment to join our team as a Product Manager. The Product Manager is responsible in understanding the needs and evolving dynamics of our market and users, along with defining and aligning the product roadmap, design, product positioning, and promotion activities to these. Ideal candidates will have both a solid business and technical foundation, with a background managing mobile apps and/or government technologies.

Responsibilities


  • Determine customer needs and market dynamics by conducting interviews and other market research
  • Objectively analyze and provide information in a concise and compelling manner to support product development and marketing initiatives
  • Drive the overall execution of product lifecycle management including strategy, development, launch, maintenance of products/solutions in all markets as part of a cross functional business team. Manage the product roadmap in alignment with this strategy and plan.
  • Support and build momentum for new products/features across sales, marketing, and operations organizations
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for the product and as a Product Owner with the development teams
  • Assist in demonstrations during the sales process, be the primary source of education for all stakeholders, and assist in training sessions during implementation
  • In combination with other team members, provide advanced support during the onboarding and implementation process
  • Drive and accept the product changes with the Development Team’s QA
  • Work with other team members and Development Teams to manage the bug and feature request queue
  • Drive grooming reviews for reported bugs and enhancements
  • Manage relationships and expectations of technical stakeholders
  • Oversee execution of integration development activities
  • Lead the effort of maintaining accurate and informative documentation
  • Work closely with the UI team to design and articulate new features and user interface updates.
  • Proactively seek out partnership opportunities to support the product vision
  • Perform other duties as assigned



Requirements:


  • Minimum 5 years of demonstrated success in a product management, product strategy, or product development role
  • Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills; ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholder groups
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with development teams
  • Ability to translate business requirements into well-articulated technical requirements
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail and ability to design and articulate solutions
  • Proficiency with collaboration and agile tools (Azure Dev Ops, JIRA, Confluence)
  • Ability to travel



Desired Knowledge / Experience:


  • Processes: Experience with Agile SCRUM, Pragmatic Marketing Framework, Microservices and API-first architecture
  • Tools: Experience using Aha!, Azure DevOps, Atlassian JIRA, Microsoft Office Suite
  • Development Technologies: Awareness of Microsoft .NET stack, XML, JSON, Azure Cloud, and Power BI
  • Web Technologies: thorough understanding of RESTful APIs, Semantic Web (Schema.org, JSON-LD), OAuth 2 / OpenID Connect / SAML
