Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:
The candidate will be creating and maintaining Government owned C++ applications supporting sensor gaming, training and Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems.
Bachelor of Science degree in a technical field (engineering, physics, math, computer science) and 1+ year of software development experience. An equivalent combination of education, certification, and relevant experience may be considered.
One or more years of object oriented development using C++, Java, C# or equivalent. Professional experience and / or open source commits with code available for review.
Experience with Windows and Linux environments, and the ability to do fundamental system administration.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including excellent customer relationship skill sets.
U.S. Citizenship is required. Candidates selected must be able to successfully pass a client background investigation.
Additional Desired Requirements:
Design experience demonstrating the applicant s ability to re-use code.
Understanding of fundamental software quality control such as unit test and regression testing; CMMI experience a plus.
Familiarity with both 3D and 2D applications; experience with OpenGL preferred.
Quantitative experience in fundamental geometry and physics.
Distributed systems experience, including networked applications, including the integration of applications into larger systems.
