We are looking for a Geospatial Programmer to join a high profile analytic tool development team. The successful candidate will contribute to building a stochastic military simulation. This developer will work in a flexible team environment supporting a multi-INT mapping and analytic environment. We are looking for a Python developer with experience using mathematical and scientific modules. This stochastic model has a parallelized architecture with a graphical output. Part-time work is a possibility.
* Bachelor's degree with minimum of 3 years of experience in Computer Science, Geography, or Science-related fields * Python Desired
Qualifications: * Experience using scientific python modules such as NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, Matplotlib * GIS concepts * R * Stochastic modeling * Parallel computing * Knowledge of software development and operations (DevOps) and associated tools (Eclipse, Git, Jenkins) Responsibilities may include (but are not limited to): * General software development in a secure environment utilizing Python and R * Package management/dependency management tools
