Role involves assisting in the development and execution of global commodity strategy including Supplier Diversity, Negotiation, Supplier, and quarterly interlock with business partners across several commodities and multiple strategic suppliers as well; Will drive Dell and suppliers to develop process improvements to maximize asset velocity and to reduce Dell's total cost of ownership.
-Conduct price/cost analysis based on key cost driver to simulate target cost of EE components.
-Use regression model to analyze cost trends
-Lead the team to understand cost structure of a broad supply base and provide cost target based on deep understanding of key trends and market conditions for industry
-Actively participate in commodity industry and trade associations to build depth and breadth of business acumen.
-Implements Dell's strategic procurement initiatives with their suppliers to improve Dell and supplier processes to achieve these goals.
-Develop peer and executive (as necessary) relationships across the Business Unit and globally within
-Bachelor Degree major in electrical, industrial engineering or relevant major and 8+ years industry experience in procurement/High Tech or electronics manufacturing.
-Knowledge of Electrical components (IC/Passive/Connector/Cable) and understand the manufacturing nature of these components
-Advanced EXCEL and modeling skills. Prefer to have programing experiences (VB)
-Program/project management skills and the ability to gain respect of cross functional organization
-Skilled at influencing others (at different levels of management)
-Advanced strategic planning skills
-Strong analytical thinking, advanced excel, problem solving skills and ability to analyze complex sourcing decisions
-Market research and trend analysis skills
-Industrial or operations related master degree
-Server storage industry experience
-Field experience and understand key manufacturing cost drivers
