Job Description

FULL TIME Senior level bookkeeper for NJ based company to oversee several aspects of accounting services. Recent QuickBooks experience is required. A friendly work environment must be dependable, detail-oriented, able to multi-task, meet deadlines and able to work independently. The position entails full charge bookkeeping for multiple industries, to include inventory management, POS system, general ledger detail, finalized financial statements to tax return ready, payroll processing, payroll tax returns for various states, sales tax & restaurant tax returns, etc. Please email resume.

Job Requirements:

  • Associates Accounting Related Degree Required - Bachelor's Degree Preferred
    ·         2 Years of Restaurant Bookkeeping Required
    ·         4 Years of Bookkeeping or Accounting Required
    ·         Must be well versed using QuickBooks, Excel, Word & email services.
    ·         Must have references.

Job Duties:

Prior experience working with restaurant inventory management, POS systems, AP, AR, timesheet/ payroll management, etc.
Vendor invoice & payment tracking
Monthly reconciliations for banks, petty cash, loans, credit cards, Payroll processing, taxes, etc.
Reconciling bank accounts, posting journal entries and balancing general and subsidiary ledgers.
Experience preparing and filing sales / use tax returns, 8027s, 571Ls, 1099s, other 
Experience setting up new clients/vendors - COA, financial statement formatting, financial statements audits and reviews.
Recordkeeping, time sheet management & Invoicing. Should be well organized including maintaining office, files, etc.
Resolves accounts payable issues among internal departments as well as outside agencies.
Verifies accuracy of checks to invoices, corresponding purchase orders and receiving documentation.
Prepares and maintains accounts payable records and reports.
Inventory management & cross check inventories periodically.
Compose analyses for income statements for management reporting.
Organize and review various financial data, then report it in a manner that is useful.
Preparation of financial statements including Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow, and Cost of Goods  Sold Analysis
Balance sheet reconciliations & Financials statement analysis
Help with the evaluation of internal controls.
Providing general administrative support as needed.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Various other tasks as requested or assigned
