Job Description

Hourly rate is flexible depending on HPC Cluster experience in Life Sciences environment preferred 

Job description required skills:

Key skills: UGE, Bright Cluster Management and GPFS 


• Implementation, administration, monitoring and optimization of Linux HPC cluster environments 
• Analyze, design, code, and test software to meet business and system requirements 
• Adhere to high quality software development standards 

• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and application issues, networks, file system access, etc 
• Ensure continuous proactive monitoring of HPC cluster and other computer systems supporting R&D team 
• Proactively troubleshoot data workflow related bottlenecks to ensure HPC systems high availability and performance, and reliability of data collection and analysis 
• Document and communicate effectively procedures, configurations, standards, etc. 

• Experience in supporting and monitoring HPC clusters 
• Excellent technical research, troubleshooting, and analytical skills 
• Excellent knowledge of Linux 
• Experience with cluster management tool (Bright Management), and resource scheduler (such as Univa)
Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Linux/UNIX and HPC cluster support and administration 
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly. 
• Ability to handle concurrent projects with appropriate priority 
• Ability to work with team members and stakeholders in other geographic locations, across time zones, across cultures 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
• Strong collaboration skills 
• Excellent motivator with ability to achieve results 
• Self-driven and ability to work independently and interact with project teams. 
• Demonstrated success handling initiatives of high complexity and risk 
• Works with little/no supervision and some guidance 
• Customer focused with a passion and drive for customer satisfaction and delivering business value 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
