Role Summary:

The HRIS Project Lead will be the bridge between Information Technology, and Human Resources and is responsible for supporting the functional execution of VW NAR HR's technology roadmap and the ongoing and operational needs of the Human Capital function. Provides a deep understanding of HR processes and hands on technical knowledge of one or more HCM solutions such as SAP HCM, SuccessFactors, Kronos, WorkForce etc. The HRIS Project Lead will work cross functionally and collaboratively with Information Technology and Human Resources professionals

Role Responsibilities:

Main responsibility - 80%
  • Essential partner with IT for HR systems planning, design and improvement, ensuring alignment of core business processes across US and Canada brands and subsidiaries.
  • Responsible for strategic functional landscape planning and the development of the process improvement portfolio. This position develops and maintains effective working relationships with HR business owners across a diverse employee workforce in Sales, Service and Manufacturing environments in US and Canada. The HRIS Project Lead maintains a profound understanding of HR business strategies and processes, and their associated applications.
  • Leads a team of HRIS Analysts to partner with cross functional teams across the North American Region (NAR)

Additional responsibilities - assign 10% of time
  • Function as business area project manager for HRIS upgrades, projects, change management, communications and process improvements.
  • Develop workflows and establish priorities of HRIS activities

Ensure the department maintains the quality, consistency and integrity of HR data across all systems

Qualifications:

Years of Experience:
  • 7 to 10 years of experience in HRIS technology and process management

Education:

Required:
  • B.S. or B.A. in Computer Science or related discipline, Business Administration or equivalent job experience

Desired:
  • Scrum and/or SAFe Agile Certification PMP
  • Certification or equivalent

Skills:
  • Proficient in HRIS technology including SAP HCM, ADP and SAP SuccessFactors
  • Strong program management skills; experience in organizing, planning, and executing large-scale projects from a functional perspective.
  • Strong ability to influence and manage change and deal effectively with change management initiatives
  • Experience with implementing HR systems
  • Demonstrated knowledge and hands-on experience of project management supporting both Sales and Manufacturing focused workforce for full technology development life cycle

Specialized Skills:

Required:
  • Minimum of 7 years hands on HR systems experience with proven leadership work in HR systems, HR applications functional design and implementation techniques, HR Systems practices
  • Experience in Project Manager role managing multiple high performing multi-function teams of 5+ resources concurrently

Desired:
  • Experience in Functional implementation of Success Factors
  • Track record of building strong business partnerships with vendors and cross functional collaboration in a dynamic, fast paced environment
  • Prior experience leading or assisting with HR compliance
  • Demonstrated experience maintaining strict confidentiality of data and information
  • Certified Scrum Master

Work Flexibility:
  • 15% of domestic travel
  • Occasional long hours as needed
