As Program Manager, you will be:· Managing and leading a team of over 50 IT professionals including business analysts, system developers, system testers, architects, technical writers, and database developers.· Ensuring that all work related to the project including requirements definition, system development, and testing is successfully completed on time and within budget.· Creating and delivering project deliverables including the requirements definition document, system design document, and all testing documents to the client.· Acting as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.· Establishing milestones and monitoring adherence to master plans and schedules, identifying program problems and obtaining solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.
BA or equivalent + 15 yrs related experience, or MA + 13 yrs related experience
Experience managing the implementation of a large scale, multi-tiered, Healthcare Information Technology Program.
Ability to elicit business requirements from the customer, can easily create functional specifications, and can meticulously document and define system requirements prior to client review and approval.
Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), understanding of QA Testing and Release methodologies, experience with both Waterfall and Agile environments.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, understanding of an Agile environment, MS Project, Excel, Visio, and IBM Rational Team Concert (RTC).
Prefer local candidates that reside in the Greater Capital Area District of Albany, NY. Position requires that you are physically on-site everyday at our 327 Columbia Turnpike, Rensselaer, NY, 12144 office.
