Robert Half Technology is seeking a Help Desk Analyst to accommodate field users in an ever-changing, active environment with a company in the Retail field. We're looking for candidates with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for making effective change within an organization for this Help Desk Analyst position. This Help Desk Analyst role is located in the King of Prussia, Pennsylvania area and is a long term temporary opportunity.
What you get to do every single day
- Will be a member of the technical staff responsible for all systems and applications monitoring, troubleshooting, deployment and maintenance activities required to support large scale, high availability, 24x7 production environments.
- Interface with functional teams throughout the organization, and work closely with Engineering, Operations, Release Management, and Production Support teams
- Ensure proper Change Management processes and procedures are followed
- Proactively finds potential site issues and take initiative to address them in a timely fashion in a 24x7 Command Center environment
- Ensure proper Event Notification and Incident Management procedures are followed, including ticket creation and bridge call facilitation
- Work with Application Developers to devise robust deployment, operations, monitoring, and reporting
- Tune application configurations to support optimize performance per developer and engineering recommendations
- Partner with supervisor on solving problems and leading them to resolution Identify and leverage standards to design project solutions
- Partner on automation opportunities for repeatable tasks and recommend/implement solutions in collaboration with the appropriate teams
- Learn to design, code, debug, document, and maintain scripts in bash, perl, python, php, etc.
- Perform troubleshooting of applications to diagnose problems Other duties as assigned

- Demonstrated excellence in installing and configuring operating systems, networked and local printers, and business applications
- 3+ years of prior experience
- IT support ticketing system experience highly valued
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Firm grasp of basic networking concepts
