Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in search of a Help Desk Level 1/ 2 in Elmwood, New Jersey (NJ).

Summary:
This role is IT support for corporate users. The Help Desk Technician answers calls, emails, Helpdesk tickets in a timely fashion and works within the department to find a quick and accurate resolution to the issues submitted.

Duties may include, but are not necessarily limited to the following:
* Provide technical support and problem resolution via phone, email, ticketing system or on site, for internal end users with hardware, software, connectivity and application issues
* Installs, configures, and troubleshoots personal computer hardware components including but not limited to motherboards, disk drives, RAM expansion cards, and memory
* Coordinates with help desk staff on site and remote in support of the end user hardware and software issues
* Updates and installs hard drive images on personal computers and laptops as required
* Installs and configures software components including operating systems and client applications
* Troubleshoots network connectivity issues
* Work with vendors as required to troubleshoot PC/Network issues for instrument connections
* Repair, setup and troubleshoot PC, Printer, and other peripheral devices
* Provide accurate and timely logging of service requests/incidents and resolution for problems in the ticketing system
* Work with other IT teams (Infrastructure Support, Security, Developers) to resolve end user issues as required
* Perform moves (move end user computer equipment from one location to another)
* Responsible for documenting end user hardware provisioned
* Responsible for end user ID Administration
* Escalate problems as appropriate
* Utilizes superior customer service skills
* Solve problems on Windows, Mac and user applications
* Maintain in-depth knowledge of supported products and services
* Review and update Help Desk documentation as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:
* 1-2 years of relevant experience in IT help desk
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, by phone and in person
* Must be able to multi-task, prioritize and manage time efficiently
* Demonstrate ability to achieve successful outcomes in handling difficult situations and customers
* Demonstrate analytical and troubleshooting skills, ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on projects to completion
* Windows 7 and Windows 10 install and troubleshooting
* Familiarity with help desk ticketing systems
* Familiarity with Active Directory and VPN
* Network printer installation and configuration
