Job Description

LaSalle Network is looking to hire a Help Desk Specialist for one of our clients in the Rosemont area. We are seeking a technology professional who is interested in a unique opportunity with one of our growing clients in the real estate space. This individual should be excited about developing his/her skills and enhancing his/her technical acumen while networking with some of Chicago’s best technologists. The Help Desk Specialist needs to be diligent, tactful, and work with a sense of urgency.

Help Desk Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, remotely and in person
  • Maintain a keen awareness of emerging technologies and how they can be leveraged
  • Work with various Microsoft Windows and Apple products
  • Install new and existing software programs
  • Create and edit user account information on system database
  • Check for network problems and provide troubleshooting support
  • Perform additional IT duties as required


Help Desk Specialist Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related preferred but not required
  • 2+ years of corporate help desk experience
  • Professional experience with Active Directory (adds, deletes, permissions, group policies)
  • Experience troubleshooting Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Exchange, Excel, Word)
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware issues (hard drives, memory, imaging)
  • Experience troubleshooting desktop OS errors (Windows 7 / XP, Apple OS X)
  • Experience with ticketing queues (Remedy, Track-IT)
