Job Description


Local client is seeking a Help Desk Support Professional to assist with the support of all technical issues for internal end users.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Provide advanced support per request; investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in a timely manner

* Apply operating system patches and upgrades on a regular basis; upgrade administrative tools and utilities; configure/create services as necessary

* Act as the primary lead on desktop PC projects in conjunction with local and corporate IT initiatives

* Perform root cause analysis of problematic software and hardware. Document resolution(s)

* Work with 3rd party providers and corporate IT to fulfill software and hardware requirements for

* desktop PC and laptops

* Provide desktop hardware/software support both remotely via Team Viewer and in person

* Answer, evaluate and prioritize requests for assistance in the form of phone calls, e-mails, work

* orders and in-person requests from users experiencing problems with hardware, software,

* networking and other computer-related technologies

* Maintain a high level of support consistent with TForce standards

* Provide on-call support after hours on a rotating schedule

* Manage requests/resolutions in the tracking system

* Recreating escalated Desktop problems to define root cause, work with the helpdesk team to implement and document a solution.

* Evaluate equipment for disposition - repair, replace, salvage, or destruction.

* Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

* Technical or Associate degree or equivalent work experience required; B.S., B.A. or Microsoft certifications beneficial

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

* Minimum of 3 years- experience as a Desktop Engineer or Help Desk Analyst II/Technician II.

* Extensive knowledge of troubleshooting of operating systems, Windows 7 Pro & Windows 10 Pro (or above)

* Mid-level experience with Microsoft Office 365 & Active Directory Administration

* Familiarity with Cisco Umbrella, Lansweeper, Remote desktop software (e.g. TeamViewer)

* Experience in supporting a large, 1,000+ PC User environment

* Experience with ITIL Processes related to Help Desk is a plus

* Experience utilizing scripting languages such as PowerShell and Windows Batch Scripting is a plus

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS

* Advanced, demonstrated organization skills

* Working knowledge of Microsoft PC software (operating systems and applications)

* Ability to multitask and work with minimal supervision in critical uptime setting

* Strong understanding of: TCP IP, DNS, DHCP, PXE, 802.11x, Bluetooth

* Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills

* Strong oral and written communication skills

* Positive attitude with strong customer service and interpersonal skills
