Job Description

We are looking for a Help Desk Rock Star! Our goal is to create a 5-star review in everything that we do. We need your help because we always want to provide top notch service to our clients and need additional team members in order to do that. Our clients need your help because their end users have application, printing and network connectivity problems and they need a smart, efficient, multi-tasking type person to help them.

We are looking for a local candidate (local areas close to Chantilly, VA) - We don't hire out of state/country, as we do not offer relocation dollars to our candidates. Some of you will still apply, even though you don't live in Virginia. Sorry, we don't look at those resumes.

We provide Help Desk services to clients across the Northern Virginia, DC metro area. We have clients in VA, DC and MD. Most of the issues that are called in can be fixed remotely from our Chantilly office. Occasionally, we have to send our technicians to a client’s site.

We service a wide variety of clients; veterinarians, lawyers, construction companies, non-profits, and medical clinics. You will rarely be doing the same thing from day to day. We handle a wide variety of issues and are wholly responsible for maintaining all of the IT needs for our clients; ensuring that their offices run smoothly.

Basic Duties and Responsibilities

(Note: The following is just a basic list of duties that may be performed and does not encompass every aspect of the job)

  • 1st line answer phones to triage client issue.
  • Enter client information and detailed description of technical problem in ticketing system
  • Follow up with clients to determine satisfaction
  • Review tickets to make sure issues have been resolved
  • Weekly phone meetings with clients to ensure that we are meeting their needs
  • Daily review back up reports to ensure that clients data is secure
  • Daily review alerts to proactively resolve potential issues for contract clients
  • Diagnose and resolve software issues within a Windows environment.
  • Perform software installation on Windows Workstations
  • Working knowledge of Windows OS and MS Office applications.
  • Research, test and deploy new technology.

Additional Requirements

  • Associates Degree in IT, or 2 year of practical experience.
  • The ability to understand and follow established business practices.
  • Exercise the highest level of confidentiality and ethical standards at all times.
  • The ability to work after hours when needed in order to meet client needs and demands.
  • You must be fluent in American English.
  • Able to lift boxes and equipment from 5lbs to 50lbs.
  • Maintain reliable and dependable transportation.
