Job Description

HopOne Internet Corp (a division of CherryRoad) is hiring Support Technician - Level One Tech individuals, who are dynamic and familiar with web hosting technologies, preferably with a customer service background to join our team. We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join the team. 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Responsible for taking calls from customers needing assistance with hosting services (dedicated servers, Unix/Windows shared hosting, managed email hosting, etc.).
  • Communicate effectively with customers to resolve their problems by both phone & tickets.
  • Document customer issues and resolutions accurately and thoroughly.
  • Participate in improvement of our support process.
  • Server OS installation.
  • Server hardware upgrades/downgrades.
  • Data Center facility work with the direction of the Operations Manager and/or Shift Supervisor.

Required Skills:

  • Basics of how networks connect.
  • Basic understanding of DNS records and name servers.
  • The process of hosting a website from the client's perspective.
  • Configuration of common email clients and web browsers.
  • Very solid customer service experience with excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • Ability to perform simple hardware upgrades (Adding RAM, hard drives, RAID cards, etc.).
  • Ability to learn new skills and concepts quickly, effectively, and independently.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated, independent, and comfortable working directly with customers.
  • Technical or field support experience preferred.
  • Additionally, we operate a 24x7x365 facility and every staff member is required to work one day over the weekend. Being flexible and shift works are required.
