Database Developer - Austin, TX

We are actively looking for talented and motivated individuals to join our supply chain data analytics team. You will be building a data platform that will be used to solve challenging problems that inform business decisions to create value for the company. This role will focus on working under the supervision of the Senior BI architect to build and maintain our database infrastructure, data model and platform to further advance Dell’s competitiveness in the areas of supply chain and quality.

Role Responsibilities

  • You wish to become an expert in database design, database coding, and data modeling technologies and are energized about enabling analytics developers and data scientists with the data environment that provides them with access to large curated datasets.

  • You aren’t afraid to get your hands dirty – you get the projects done, you like to participate in the execution and planning of all development projects
  • You have a sense of urgency when troubleshooting problems and assist your teammates when needed



  • A BS in Computer Science, ideally an MS
  • 2+ years of experience or equivalent
  • Experience with database objects, such as stored procedures, functions, views and indexing techniques for optimizing performance on large datasets
  • Good knowledge in the Microsoft BI Stack (preferred to have experience in the cloud with a focus on high scale, high reliability enterprise systems)
  • A sense of humor, flexibility, personal effectiveness and teamwork skills are also essential
