Job Description

Noranda seeks an IT & PI Administrator.

Required Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years’ experience supporting OSIsoft PI, to include programming and interfacing with other systems, or capacity to learn.
  • Installation, configuration and monitoring of PI System servers, interfaces and user tools.
  • Experience with PI application suite including PI ProcessBook, PI AF, PI Vision, and PI Datalink.
  • 3+ years’ experience as a Computer Technician or Desktop Support Specialist.
  • Technical knowledge of networks, firewalls and network segmentation.
  • Experience supporting a Microsoft Active Directory environment.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft client/server operating systems.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Office 365 support experience.

Education

  • BS Degree in IT or related field required. Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems or related field is a plus.

Job Summary/Objective

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of desktop operating systems and the OSIsoft PI System. This role will be responsible for front line and over the phone IT support for plant personnel. A key responsibility will be to serve as the OSIsoft PI System Administrator for the facility.

Essential Functions

  • Serve as the onsite PI Administrator. Includes programming, tag creation, monitoring and maintenance, problem resolution and interfacing with other systems.
  • Provide technical assistance and resolution as necessary
  • Set up new computer systems and perform routine maintenance
  • Maintain computer equipment and software to ensure secure and efficient operations
  • Repair computer hardware and servers as required
  • Provide end user support for usage of company assigned devices
  • Test and implement new software programs for the company
  • Develops and maintains software and hardware inventory and tracking systems; develops inventory lists and stocks and stores electronic components
  • Develops and maintains internal documentation
  • Terminate network cabling
  • Other IT support duties as assigned
  • Ability to provide on-call support

  • Pushing/Pulling up to 200 lbs. such as a printer.
