Ferguson's IT eCommerce group is looking to add an IT Business Analyst, sitting in Newport News, VA.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Interaction with employees throughout Ferguson to understand business strategies and upcoming initiatives to determine future IT solution requirements
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: 3+ years of relevant IT industry work experience.3+ years of Business Analysis experience.Strong PC skills with specifics toward all Microsoft Office applications.Posses general business or technical knowledge.Ability to create process flows and diagrams.Strong analytical skills.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Interview skills, ability to talk to individuals and groups about their need and ask the right questions to surface essential requirements information.Strong listening skills.Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work with all levels of associates.Ability to work on simultaneous projects.Receptive to some travel (education, project pilot, training, site visits, etc).Open minded about alternative solutions, not constrained by the way processes have always worked within any particular company.Facilitation/able to work with groups to get things done.Must be experienced in the Software/System Development Life Cycle.Must be self-motivated, proactive, creative and efficient. Must be detail-oriented and thorough with the ability to meet aggressive deadlines.Must have a good understanding of both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
