Job Description

CBTS is currently seeking an IT Desktop Support Analyst for a 3-6 month contract position located in Johnstown, PA.

Position Summary 

Provide in-person and remote support to users in the areas of PCs, e-mail, standard desktop applications, connectivity, and cell phone. The Technician may work alone or as part of a team serving as the point of contact for troubleshooting problems for computer hardware, software, iPhones, printers, network.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Associates or Technical degree in PC support or similar discipline or equivalent experience
  • Five years of technical experience providing in-person and remote support to users in the areas of e-mail, directories, standard Windows desktop applications, VOIP, iPhone.
  • Experience with Dell laptops and iPhones is preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Requires competence in serving as the initial point of contact for troubleshooting and diagnosing hardware/software, OS patches and upgrades, iPhone and printer problems.
  • Demonstrates ability to work independently or under general direction.
  • Excellent communication skills, professional appearance and customer service skills required.

 Responsibilities

  • Support Technician will excel in PC and Windows desktop applications, Mobility support including hot spot and iPhone, and Conference/Video support knowledge including Skype, and a general knowledge of WebEx, Adobe Connect and Verizon Conferencing.
  • Assistance with testing and integrating new IT provided equipment as required.
  • All software support requirements for standard applications such as Microsoft Office as well as internal specific applications.
  • Maintaining any changes to PC images required by the executives' PCs.
  • Support for other technology questions as requested such as cell phone purchases, headsets, etc.
  • Conference room support from testing AV equipment and connectivity prior to the beginning of meetings and being on standby if problems occur during meetings.
  • Assistance with helpdesk tickets
  • Will assist with tier 2 tickets, and support of end users
  • Assist in other IT support areas as required.
