Title: IT Endpoint Engineer / Systems Engineer / Windows Engineer
Location : Denver - CO & Brentwood - TN
Duration : 8 + Months Contract - with a huge possibility of an extension
Duties: The IT Endpoint Engineer has primary responsibility for endpoint strategy and standards. They have experience in system administration of enterprise level computer management tools and provide expertise in system performance and capacity planning for all enterprise devices in the field. They should possess an extensive understanding of modern technology in order to review and select technical solutions to address business problems.
Responsible to assess and recommend innovative use and implementations of new features and technologies related to endpoint solutions.
Enhance our customer's End User Experience while driving efficiencies into all aspects of our service delivery.
Assist with certification and documentation of hardware and software configurations.
Recommending and maintaining hardware and software standards list.
Ensure enterprise management tooling features and capabilities are fully utilized to the client's benefit and sustenance of our life cycle management program.
Assists with rollout of new/upgraded endpoint software packages.
Create and document support processes for troubleshooting software configurations specific to the client operating environments.
Participate in Hardware/Software Governance Board.
Assist our client's with technology assessments of equipment and software platforms.
Required Technical Skills and Expertise:
Experience in system administration of enterprise level computer management tools and provide expertise in system performance and capacity planning for all enterprise devices in the field.
Should possess an extensive understanding of modern technology in order to review and select technical solutions to address business problems.
Solid understanding/familiarity with design and configuration of virtual environments/solutions (VMWare Horizon products, ESX, Citrix or Hyper-V) 5+ years of Operating Systems (Microsoft Windows 7, 8.1, & 10, macOS, iOS) experience required 5+ years of system management experience required (LANDesk or SCCM) experience required
Mobile device management knowledge
Active Directory and Group Policy experience
Collaborative tools (e-mail, instant messaging, web and video conferencing)
Microsoft Exchange and Outlook
Microsoft Office Productivity suite 2010, 2013, 2016
Hardware and software testing and evaluation
Automated test tools
Local Area Network (LAN) technologies
Understanding/familiarity with Image Development and Management w/Microsoft MDT
Solid Network Infrastructure Principles knowledge required
Cross-Functional Team Leadership
Experience in a large ITILv3 compliant Enterprise Environment is required
Required Soft Skills:
A solid understanding of endpoint management technologies and processes (as listed in the JD) balanced with strong team leadership and client communications are key attributes to success in this position.
Higher level platform-related certifications (e.g., (MCSA, MCSE, MCSD, MCP, RHCE, RHDS, RHCA, LPIC-2, LPIC-3, VCP, VCAP, SNIA, etc.) recommended
Higher level systems-related certifications (e.g., ESEP, CSEP) recommended
Tier 3 and 4 Support in an Enterprise Desktop Environment preferred
