Job Description

Link Technologies is currently seeking an IT Field Technician for a client in Las Vegas, NV. This position will be contract-to-hire. The IT Field Technician’s responsibilities will include identifying, analyzing and improving upon current business practices, helping to retain an accurate inventory of all company-owned hardware, and compiling accurate documentation regarding any issues which may arise in the field offices or at other business locations.





  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related field
  • 3+ years experience in IT industry or related field
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Experience in Gaming, Hospitality, and /or Guest Services
  • Apply and retain all work cards (Nevada Gaming & Driver’s License) as required by the company
  • Understanding of Network switch configuration and Low Voltage
  • Experience using GMS, Pandora, and / or Synkros
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft/Mac OS programs/suites, Adobe, Mytel Client, InfoGenesis and Gaming systems
  • Demonstrate method utilized to troubleshoot problems with computer systems, audio/visual systems, telecommunication systems and wiring
  • Clear and effective communication in English (both written and verbal)
  • Exceptional time management skills
  • Continuously maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
  • Understanding of Telecommunications Systems, Mytel, IP Telephony, SIP Phones Mytel Voicemail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Well established record of providing outstanding guest service
  • Experience with Crestron Control System
  • Experience using the Service Desk model (ITIL) to support servicing, working the escalation pathways, and assigning the correct technical team to assist with repairs
  • Open availability to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Experience in a fast-paced ever-changing environment focused on providing exceptional security in protecting confidential information
  • Must have reliable transportation; some travel required
  • Certification in A+, Net+, Sec+ is preferred





  • Consistently provide outstanding customer service and integrity in the workplace
  • Transport new/repaired equipment and confirm operating/printing applications are in working order at all end-user sites
  • Address and resolve all concerns resulting from unsatisfactory performance
  • Communicate with the user support coordinator to ensure all unresolved issues are addressed, assigned to the appropriate technician and completed
  • Aid in troubleshooting intricate operating difficulties
  • Work in partnership with service management, applications support and other IT departments to resolve customer service issues in a timely manner
  • Coordinate the maintenance and delivery of defective equipment back to the correct vendors
  • Evaluate and inventory company devices to ensure shelf-life of equipment is up to business standards; replace hardware/software when necessary
  • Assist users with special requests and recommend hardware/software if needed
  • Documentation on all completed work assignments and related databases (i.e., work requests/trouble tickets, purchase requisitions/orders, technical support docs, equipment/parts inventory and network addressing) required
  • Set up and maintain A/V equipment, devices, and software as required
  • Keep up-to-date on all security best-practices and current risks to promote secure desktop environments
  • Break down old equipment and replace with new devices/parts
  • Oversee multiple projects and responsibilities concurrently
  • Collaborate with team leaders in resource identification and planning
  • Perform other tasks related to the position (fabricating, splicing, punching down, and validating cables in 66 blocks, 110 blocks, and patch panel on network racks, in addition to termination in walls and floors using RJ45 jacks and other types of terminations as needed
  • Connect, troubleshoot, and repair telephone equipment to working order
  • Comply with all applicable gaming laws and company policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulation as applied to the job
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures
  • Complete other assignments related to the position or as deemed necessary
