Our client is seeking an IT Operations Technical Lead for an exciting opportunity. The IT Operations Technical Lead will provide technical expertise in the areas of Office 365 and Azure Cloud Services support needs to a large ministry organization. This role will provide technical consulting, project and task management, communication to end-users, and build solutions as directed. This position is a key player as a subject matter expert on a team collectively responsible for the global management of an O365 environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft's Office365 best practices, particularly regarding Azure AD and on-prem services.
  • Manage all incoming Help Desk tickets for O365/AD account creation, deletion, and changes
    • Providing timely communication to end users and ensuring appropriate follow-through
  • Provide recommendations to Director of IT Operations for solutions to enterprise challenges regarding overall processes, information, workflow, system, and the globalization of the corporate O365 environment
  • Function as a technical liaison between SharePoint team and IT, collaborating with SharePoint experts to ensure all Intranet Design and the O365 environment function in a cohesive uniform way.
  • Monitor O365 to always ensure optimized performance and communicate with Microsoft as necessary when performance issues arise.
  • Provide consulting for IT team members during the build process of groups and group policies.
  • Communicate any upcoming changes in the O365 roadmap to the appropriate team to ensure uninterrupted end user experience.
  • Submit tickets to Microsoft or other third parties on behalf of IT teams and work through to resolution.
  • Provide quality control for documentation and end user how-tos and training materials.
  • Ensure changelogs, backups, and sitemaps are maintained to keep an accurate representation of systems and projects within the O365 platform.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Expert understanding of Office 365, Active Directory, and Azure platforms
  • Sound understanding of scripting and Power Shell commands
  • Sound organizational skills and attention to detail for building out standards, documentation, training, and templates.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple projects and tasks of varying scope and involvement with frequently shifting priorities.
  • Ability to multi-task effectively in an open, collaborative office-space with frequent interruptions.
  • Must be able to effectively operate Windows-based computer and proficient at using the Microsoft Office suite.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Advanced Office 365 Admin skills
  • Advanced experience in Power Shell and Scripting
  • Microsoft certification(s) preferred.
  • Help Desk support background
  • Must pass background check

EXPERIENCE:
  • 2-4 years of Office 365 support and/or Active Directory support
  • 2+ years of Office 365 process and Directory Improvement experience
  • 2+ years of IT project scoping and implementation
  • 2+ years of Help Desk support preferred
