IT Project Manager
The Project Manager (PM) position will organize and lead projects and/or significant tasks and initiatives for Information Technology Services, and as needed for other Bank departments and possibly Federal Reserve System organizations or functions. The PM will have responsibility for a project from inception to completion, facilitating interaction amongst team members, vendors, and stakeholders. Will be responsible to improve processes that support the development and continuous improvement of the Agile process. The PM oversees resource and cost estimates, implements projects as per the deadlines and well within budget.
Accountable for assigned information technology projects and initiatives.
Guide project team using project management standards and methodologies to meet project goals.
Champion the implementation of Scrum and Agile processes and methodologies within the department.
Responsible for delivery and quality of project artifacts and documentation
Partners with IT Management to maintain project portfolio.
Coordinates and sustains vendor relationships.
Anticipates and eliminates barriers/risks to project success.
Able to employ negotiation, diplomacy, and conflict resolution skills when needed.
Leader of building strong, effective, functional project team.
Adaptive communication strategy for different target audiences.
Compile metrics in support of communicating project health.
Manage the financial component of projects, to ensure project stays on budget
Provide project management consultation and guidance in support of PM. efforts throughout the Bank and District.
Mentor and coach less experienced staff on project team.
Flexible to adapt to new project methodologies.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in related field required
Current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required
4 + years of project management experience, including Agile projects
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and MS Project
Experience with Agile tools (such as JIRA, Trello, Rally, or TFS) is a plus
Scrum master and/or Release Train Engineer experience is a plus
Business process improvement experience and LEAN certification is a plus
Experience with financial reporting tools (such as Clarity PPM) is a plus
