Job Description

We have a client in Denver, CO searching for a Sr. IT Project Manager.  12+ months to start.  Rate is 65-70/hr.  The position requires strong organization, communication, and presentation skills. Must be able to report on the status of projects and results to executive level leadership. Must have good planning and time-management skills and be adept at balancing multiple assignments and deadlines. Must be a self-starter who can build a good rapport with internal partners and peers.



  • Engagement in multiple IT initiatives simultaneously
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, application teams and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision for the programs
  • Heavily involved with setting up recurring status meetings with the business, fielding questions from the business, as well as handling issues that arise from the business
  • Track project changes and produce an updated schedule as agreed with other Departments, Stakeholders, and the PMO
  • Anticipating issues and acting proactively to address potential issues
  • Gathering and updating project materials, completing budgeting, forecasting, project documentation, business flows, and lessons learned documents
  • Speaking to details of the project to both the business and technical teams from beginning to end of all projects
  • Providing risk management and issue/problem resolution as required
  • Communicate with internal and external parties on project status and prepare reports for management review
  • Assignments for this senior role are very broad in nature and of the highest level of complexity so must be able to impact beyond the area of responsibility.
  • Consult and make recommendations to management on significant issues
  • Mentor other team members



Proven experience and track record of successfully developing and managing IT projects within time and budget constraints

  • 5+ years of Telecom/IT experience
  • 5+ years of IT project management experience acting as a liaison between business teams and technical teams
  • 5+ years experience working in a defined project management methodology
  • Strong analytical and project management skills required
  • Experience in managing specifically in support of facility moves / relocations including all IT components (desktops, phones, A/V, networking, and cabling) is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Network
  • Strong knowledge of product releases and sprint schedules
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts preferred
  • Experience managing large Telecom/IT infrastructure projects strongly desired
  • Demonstrated success overseeing concurrent projects
  • Thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into infrastructure and operational requirements required
  • Strong interpersonal skills Strong written and verbal communication skills
