Department Overview:
Speedway's IT Department has over 100 individuals on various teams that work on thousands of projects company wide. Speedway provides ample opportunity for growth and development. You will have access to managers of various agile and waterfall teams, as well as professional developers, architects, and project managers working together in our database.

About the Team:
Throughout this internship you will be working hand in hand with the IT Security and Compliance team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Monitor IDS system on a daily basis to ensure that malicious devices aren't being plugged into Speedway Store machines.
  • Monitor network offenses in IBM QRadar Security Intelligence web application to maintain network security as well as create log sources for newly discovered generic logs.
  • Parse through Vulnerability Scan data to consolidate and organize it so that SMEs can remediate the vulnerabilities.
  • Create IT Security awareness posters and post them around the office to keep employees educated and aware of threats they may face.


Job Requirements:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Cyber Security.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Able to live and work near corporate headquarters in the Dayton, Ohio area for the duration of the internship experience.
