Plego Technologies is a Software Development and IT Staffing agency that has been thriving since 2002. Based in West Suburban Downers Grove, we have been providing staffing and project based solutions for our clients since day one.

We are currently in search of multiple IT Staffing Sales Professionals to work from our office in Downers Grove. What we most need is a goal driven Sales Professional looking to meet and/or exceed expectations from day one. A proven record of Staffing success is expected.

The IT Staffing Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible and held accountable for consistently increasing revenue through the generation of new business. This is done through acquiring new clients. The BDM must be incredibly adept at communicating at all levels of an organization as they create long-term and mutually beneficial partnerships.

The BDM has an unquenchable thirst for prospecting and closing new opportunities that strategically align with the market strategy. The business development manager will grow revenue profitably by selling value, differentiating our services and positioning Plego Technologies as the only choice.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Must already have access to existing client relationships, a vast and connected professional network, quality referrals for new client opportunities
  • Develop IT staffing sales through a combination of methods that may include all or in part: research, lead generation, prospecting, networking and in-person appointments with new and inactive clients.
  • Generate IT staffing sales leads through prospecting and cold calling, both in-person and via telephone and other electronic media such as social networking tools and techniques.
  • Ability to place talent in different lines of expertise, such as:
    • Back-end Programmer (Microsoft based, Open Source)
    • Front End Developer
    • Database Developer and Architect
    • Devops
    • Business Analyst
    • Project Manager
    • System Administrators
    • Cloud Admins
    • BI Architects
    • And other related positions
  • Create and maintain a staffing sales business plan utilizing CRM system
  • Generate quality requisitions for contract, contract to hire and permanent positions for Plego to fulfill.
  • Target new accounts in across various industries by developing relationships with IT Procurement and HR Managers.
  • Develop a strategy for penetrating and developing IT staffing sales with new clients.
  • Meet all minimum requirements for weekly appointment activity and staffing sales revenue growth.
  • Complete the timely entry of all required sales documentation into Plego s CRM and other automated systems. Maintain consistency and integrity of data.
  • Coordinate with recruiting team to ensure fulfillment of client job orders and staffing sales opportunities.
  • Provide detailed information on clients or prospects for staffing sales bids and proposals to management on a daily basis.


  • Minimum, 5 years of proven Business Development experience within the Information Technology (IT) Staffing Services business.
  • Proven success in cold calling, prospecting for new business, following up on leads, securing new client accounts and developing solid business relationships is required.
  • Should have strong and proven relationships with direct clients.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Proven experience in managing a client portfolio, developing new sales opportunities, and generating revenue.
  • Exceptional ability to problem solve, strategize and influence.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Bachelor s Degree or equivalent
