Description:Onsite 100%-Bloomington, INSummary:As the first point of contact, the IT Support Specialist will have a vital role in communicating professionally and efficiently to ascertain the nature of the request, resolve issue where possible or escalate to the appropriate team(s) when necessary. The position will require direct contact & support of local users. The IT Support Specialist will also participate in software system implementation projects as well as various other site projects requiring IT participation. The successful candidate will possess a can-do attitude, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. Will work well under pressure, can balance, and manage multiple obligations all competing for attention and resolution.Essential Duties and Responsibilities (these are primary responsibilities of the role and the incumbent will perform other duties as assigned):* Provides onsite end user support, troubleshoot end user hardware and software issues, and contribute positively to our customer service, incident, and request service level agreements.* Installs, configures, tests, and troubleshoots Windows-based computers as well as applications, printers, digital signage systems, tablets, scan guns and general IT hardware.* Provides support to multiple lab computers and systems, including assisting in system implementations* Provide support for key business projects* Assists with software deployment and configuration* Basic support of VOIP systems, add/change/remove users, and simple phone configuration.* Self-learner & ability to independently research issues when no common knowledge exists.* Understanding of standard support desk procedures, usage of the helpdesk to self-assign incidents and work towards successful resolution of end user issues and escalate as needed.* Document, develop and contribute to ongoing IT process improvement.* Contribute to a positive and professional work environment* Maintain record of all work performed, original issues, and result* Work with vendors and third-party companies on issues* Strict adherence to company IT policies and established best known practices* Ensures compliance with policies related to computer security, maintenance, and deployment.* Ability to work in a high-paced environment amid competing obligations.* Remote user support using available tools as provided.* Other responsibilities as assigned

Job Requirements (Education and Experience):* Minimum 3+ years of Customer Service* Minimum 3+ years of relevant technical experience.* Technical certifications a plus* Excellent communication skills - able to explain technology to end usersPhysical / Safety Requirements* Frequently required to sit, stand, and use hands to perform data entry* Occasionally required to perform simple grasping, use hands for fine manipulation, and to reach above shoulder level and under desks.* Need close vision and ability to adjust focus.* Ability to lift and carry 25 lbs. or more.
