Position : IT Support Technician

Contract to Hire

Salary : $22 - $27 per hour

Location : Montebello, CA

Modis Burbank is looking for an IT Support Technician for a great client in the Montebello area. The IT Support Technician provides technical support in hardware and software to all team members.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Installing hardware and software systems.
  • Maintaining or repairing equipment (workstations, laptops, tablets, printers etc.).
  • Troubleshooting software and hardware to maintain performance and systems.
  • Setting up computer/network security measures.
  • Configuring network access for individual users.
  • Offering technical support on-site, via phone, remote support, and email.
  • Cloning systems with Acronis and Ghost.
  • Participate in on-call 24/7 support rotation
  • Document all technical work and enhance existing documentation.
  • Provide monthly written status reports to Manager of IT/IS.
  • Others duties as assigned by supervisor.


REQUIREMENTS
  • Prefer A+ certified or similar.
  • Two (2) or more years of related experience with system configurations and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency with troubleshooting concepts, ability to analyze break-fix situations, meets deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Team player and open to learning and mastering new IT concepts.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, customer interface skills, problem-solving and innovative resolution ability.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Ability to work under pressure.


EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. /B.S.) from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


SCHEDULE
  • Shift start time varies from 5:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. depending on department needs
  • Participation in on-call rotation, including both weekday and weekend shifts
