Job Description



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyzes the needs of the organization and end-users and procures voice and data communication solutions, which may include broadband (cable/DSL/fiber), NxT1 circuits, Ethernet circuits, POTS lines, PRIs, and SIP services.
  • Responsible for the evaluation and procurement of voice and data services for new branches as well as the ongoing migration, upgrade, and grooming of these services in over 400 branch, large office, and data center locations.
  • Responsible for ordering, order tracking / review, implementation and scheduling of installation for services such as Ethernet, broadband (cable/DSL/fiber), DSL, NxT1, POTS lines, PRIs and SIP.
  • Work with established account teams to perform reviews of local service to meet the business model/need. Work closely with each site performing analysis to identify the bandwidth, voice and infrastructure needs.
  • Manage circuit upgrade requirements, which may include construction and circuit extensions in order to deliver services to the site. Responsible for communicating site requirements, construction needs and cost analysis to the branch and property management.
  • Researches new technologies and determines their value to the organization.
  • Develop and maintain excel spreadsheets to track order activity and inventory.
  • Must be available to work additional hours as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associates Degree or equivalent in Information Technology or related field required.
  • 3-5 years related experience required.
  • Familiar with a wide variety of telecommunication concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property and institutions.
  • Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Ability to demonstrate a proactive approach to problem resolution and have strong problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work closely with team members in a fast paced environment to ensure that project deadlines are met.
