Job Title: Industrial Engineer
Duration: 12 Months with possible extensions
Preference for contractor to work in Cincinnati, but would consider remote only candidates.
Utilize industrial engineering (IE) technologies and methodologies to evaluate current processes, equipment and systems to determine areas of improvement that will enhance the customer shopping experience, product quality and freshness while eliminating inefficiencies. Provide leadership and collaborate with key stake holders and business partners to design, develop, test and deploy innovative, cost effective and efficient processes. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
o 2+ years progressive industrial engineer project work in a complex, integrated retail network
o Broad background in industrial engineering technology, application and project management
o Ability to effectively communicate and influence all levels of the organization
o Ability to work well within project teams
o Strong mathematical and analytical skills
o Effective planning, negotiating, decision-making, problem-solving, and organizing skills
o Able to utilize all work measurement tools available (i.e. MTM, MOST, Time Study, Analysis)
o Proficient in Microsoft Office
o Strong oral and written communication skills
o Ability to earn Lean/Six Sigma belt certification within one year
o Ability to travel independently (up to 30%)
Desired Previous Job Experience:
o Experience in retail operations planning
o Extensive process engineering background
o Lean/Six Sigma training/certification
