Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Candidate will be part of the O&M Technical Architecture team providing IIS Administration support to maintain the availability of hosted sites. Strong IIS troubleshooting experience required, including parsing logs to determine root cause of errors for applications that include ASP.NET and C++ code. Eagerness to learn, self-directed, ambitiously helping team to succeed. Proactively assigns work to self and works independently.
Hands on experience with Windows Server 2012 R2 Administration required. SQL 2008/2012 background required for implementation and configuration and functional knowledge of log querying. Knowledge of and troubleshooting ability with IPv4/v6. Linux and cloud experience desirable. Scripting (i.e. PowerShell) skills a plus. Resource shall provide onsite (Chantilly, VA) support during core assigned shift hours. Team will provide staggered coverage between 8am-8pm EST. Available for off-hours on call support or emergency support as needed.
Understanding of security policies, scans, and vulnerability remediation. Shall support the team performing monthly and off cycle patch management activities. Prior experience leveraging HEAT for patch management a plus. Knowledge of monitoring an IT environment a plus (datacenters, applications, uptime reports, service metrics). Experience creating and maintaining internal documentation (i.e. runbooks, cookbooks), as well as client deliverables, including but not limited to Standard Operating Procedures Manuals.
